Meet Gennean Scott


Gennean Scott is a proactive Human Resources Executive with a proven ability to leverage talent and best practices to drive organizational effectiveness. She is a results-driven visionary skilled at creating a vision and building high- performing teams enthusiastic about achieving organization objectives. Ms. Scott is a recognized community leader with expertise in topics surrounding leadership, recruitment & retention of Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC), and community engagement. Locally and nationally her talent in equity, diversity, and inclusion is utilized to create a harmonious and inclusive workplace. Ms. Scott is a business partner with a track record of consulting with executives to influence business decisions to drive organizational change. With over 10-years of hands-on experience in human resource functions, Gennean currently serves as the Vice President of Human Capital & Inclusion for the Omaha Performing Arts.


Gennean is a mom, entrepreneur, and lover of the arts. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc, and The Links, Inc - Nebraska Chapter. Professionally she belongs to Society for Human Resource Management, Human Resources Association of the Midlands, Nonprofit Association of the Midlands, Women of Color in the Arts, and is a founding partner of the Nebraska Association of African American Human Resources Professionals and Black Arts Leadership Alliance.
